Quick answers for visitors

How much? Budget gyms from about NOK 250/month. Day passes at independent gyms typically NOK 100–150. Free option: outdoor tufteparks.

Can I pay with a foreign Visa/Mastercard? Yes — cards are accepted everywhere. No Norwegian bank account needed for gyms, pools or studios.

What do I need to sign up? Budget chains: sign up online or in the app with a card. Independent gyms: passport at reception is usually fine for short passes.

Lockers: Free to use, but bring your own padlock (most receptions sell them for NOK 30–50).

Shoes: Indoor training shoes on the gym floor — outdoor shoes stay at the entrance.

Showers: Nude showering before pools/sauna is the norm in Norway — it is expected and completely normal.
